Believe it or not, music production has seen a major increase in the past few years. So many people are getting into making their own beats that the internet is absolutely flooded with new music being uploaded every single day. At least a million individuals around the world electronically make music straight from home. It must feel like heaven for all music artists looking for beats, but they probably have trouble where to start looking for them...
I have been producing music since late 2010 and already had there been many different music producers on the internet specialising in all kinds of music genres. Throughout my networking and marketing, I have encountered, read-about or seen different advertisements relating to a diverse amount of beat-making maniacs around the world. In every major city, there are multiple producers making beats from home.
Why have we seen an increase?
The ease of access to digital audio workstations like Reason, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase and so on, is one of the many aspects of the new "trend". If a software wasn't so easily accessible, usable and purchasable then I probably wouldn't have got into music production myself. Thanks to the internet, beat making has become increasingly wide-spread around the world, also giving the ability for different artists and producers to communicate and interact.
Talent scouts and A&R's favour the internet in finding new talent in production and for artists. Technology has sure improved how and when we communicate around the world!
