When censorship, authoritarianism and hypersensitive hysteria surrounds common affairs, a civil war is inevitable - leading to complete chaos and destruction. The Third War turns two powerful countries into a barely habitable ruin, followed by an order of
Tyrannical Lords ruling over the masses. Knowledge is entirely suppressed; civilisation is almost obliterated. Violence, torture, anti-intellectualism is the norm whilst a destroyed economy and ruined landscapes darken the land. This is Algonquin. Algonquin is the home of a young woman named Iskalec Znanja, who emerges from a
post-war settlement after dealing with a difficult childhood. She is inquisitive, she thinks freely, she pursues knowledge. Iskalec desires to find out why the public of Algonquin have become indoctrinated; how her society was once technologically prosperous but regressed into an outmoded state. Iskalec learns that the state is a vindictive establishment governed by Overlord Kracht and described by an outsider, Gwythno the Dissenter, as “Overlord of the Fallen World”. Iskalec locates this outsider; aware that he may hold knowledge of the past. After learning much of Algonquin’s recent history, she transitions from a concerned individual to the leader of a large underground rebellion with an obligation to reveal the Overlord’s suppression of a once advanced country. Iskalec and Gwythno, risk their lives to end the tyrannical regime. However, will they survive to expose Overlord Kracht or will they be overruled for their dissention?
