I need not bore you with what a to-do list defines since the term “to-do” is highly self-explanatory but I want to start by emphasising that a list, comprised of personal tasks that need to be completed, will undoubtedly improve your lifestyle management. I first began to use a to-do list when I was in my last year of high school before heading off to further education. Since then, my ability to remember deadlines, aims and tasks has truly organised my lifestyle. The fact that I was able to finish my academic work prior to the final deadline at the end of the year before the majority of my colleagues is a perfect example – had I not relied on my personal to-do list, the brain inside my head may have exploded with excess stress and worry. Whether you desire to become more organised for work, education, everyday life or all three, a to-do list will definitely help you achieve that goal and improve your life significantly.
1. Organises Your Schedule
Using a standard notepad file on a computer or laptop is beneficial if you want to save space, effort and even paper. Every day and almost every hour I review my to-do list; working as both a calendar and a task list. The means of a to-do list should not only include quick tasks to time consuming tasks, but it should also include particular dates for events or work. With this, the to-do list helps you to memorise any upcoming happenings ensuring that you do not miss them or unintentionally plan over them.
