![]() After releasing Good Kid, M.A.A.D City in 2012, Kendrick Lamar has gained a huge following and is now becoming praised as the next big thing in rap music. Kendrick Lamar, being a brilliant icon in the rap industry since his debut album "Section .80", was featured on Big Sean's track "Control which unfortunately was not released on his album "Hall of Fame" due to licensing issues - his verse blasts many other big names in the rap industry. Kendrick Lamar states that the rap industry is about competition and it needs to come back so to spark up the concept - Lamar strikes the industry in order to bring back one of the many origins of hip hop music.
"I'm usually homeboys with the same n*s I'm rhymin' wit But this is hip hop and them n*s should know what time it is And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you n*s Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n*s They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n*s What is competition? I'm tryna raise the bar high Who tryna jump and get it? You better off tryna skydive" Being that Kendrick Lamar is becoming a more dominant figure by the second in the hip hop industry, we will without a doubt see changes to come since his astonishing verse on Big Sean's song "Control".
