Ice Cube is no doubt the most respected artist in Hip Hop along with many of the big names since the 1990s including 2pac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Eminem, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and many more. Ice Cube has the rightful way to call himself the West Coast Warlord as he was definitely responsible for pioneering the West Coast Hip Hop Culture regardless of what the cynic's may have to say with his diverse work in entertainment from Gangsta Rap to Family Movies to Video Gaming including his voice acting in Black Ops. Being a huge fan of the Don Mega himself here is a list of D-Funkdafied's Top 10 Ice Cube Songs of 2013.

1. IT WAS A GOOD DAY
Without a doubt in the hip hop world, this is probably the most well-known Ice Cube tune of his career and that is not just because it may have featured on the highly popular GTA San Andreas in 2004. The whole mood of the track and the lyrics bring out that laidback vibe. Being one of the best Ice Cube songs of all time, it is possibly one of the best Hip Hop songs of all time.

2. DO YA THANG
“Do Ya’ Thang” is a personal favourite of mine. The complete meaning of the song has inspired me to do what I want to do and to achieve every goal I attack. I am sure it has inspired many young people who are fans of his work. Not only that, but it is a great cruising song!

3. GANGSTA RAP MADE ME DO IT
Ice Cube is always right about what he preaches. The song is just so lyrically hard - probably insulting many of these “fake” Gangsta Rap artists. It also expresses his view on the negative opinions towards Gangsta Rap which has been blamed for bad street culture but Ice Cube clearly articulates that those opinions are incorrect!

4. YOU KNOW HOW WE DO IT
This has got to be one of my favourite G-Funk songs of all time, released during the time of the West Coast's popular rise and once again produced by QD3! Its definitely a song you want to put on during the summer as you cruise in the sun.

5. CHECK YO SELF
Another tune that was also featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas! This song is another one of Ice Cube’s most popular tracks and it still remains one of the best hip hop tunes to date alongside “It Was A Good Day”.

6. WHY WE THUGS
Nothing explains this song better than "HARD". But on the real, this track surely brings out the many meanings of Gangsta Rap. With amazing production by Scott Storch, Ice Cube can always put together a solid tune.

7. WHY ME
Ice Cube always finds an important subject to spit. "Why Me?" was specifically dedicated to all the hip hop artists who have passed due to pointless acts of violence. The lyrics are effective with no surprise displaying the whole point in getting people to put down the guns.

8. I REP THAT WEST
From the 2010 album, “I Am the West”, this is a tune that gets all the West Coast fans throwing up the “W” sign. In this whole album, Ice Cube clearly wants the modern generation to understand who started this Gangsta ‘stuff’.

9. GHETTO BIRD
"Ghetto Bird" has always been a classic for the 1990s West Coast hip hop scene, and that is not just because of Ice Cubes great flow and enthusiasm  but it was also produce by a great G-Funk producer, Quincy Jones III (QD3).

10. NO VASELINE
This may have been a diss track to his former group, NWA, but he surely goes hard with it. I am sure Eazy E, Dr Dre, DJ Yella and MC Ren felt really "offended" when they heard this track. This track is one of the best diss songs in hip hop. Ice Cube always knows how to use his brutal skills to prove a point.
